Pekka Räsänen

Pekka Räsänen is a clinical neuropsychologist at Epilepsia Helsinki, in the Department of Pediatric Neurology of HUS Helsinki University Hospital, and, since 2022, Professor of Practice at the Turku Research Institute for Learning Analytics (TRILA) of the University of Turku, Finland. He was a principal investigator at the Niilo Mäki Institute, where his team developed language and mathematics intervention programs for early education. His research focuses on mathematics learning and its difficulties, with more than 100 publications, and he is co-editor of the “International Handbook of Mathematical Learning Difficulties”.
