Mary Eming Young

Mary E. Young is a pediatrician and specialist in global health and early childhood development. For more than four decades she has worked to improve children's health, development and life opportunities. At the World Bank she played a key role in bringing early childhood development onto the global agenda. She is currently Assistant Clinical Professor at the Yale Child Study Center, collaborates with the Yale Global Literacy Hub, and serves as senior advisor to the Hupan Modou Foundation and senior editor of the China Child Development Review.
