About

Isabel H. Rios Leonard holds a doctorate in Pedagogical Sciences and is a full professor and senior researcher at the Central Institute of Pedagogical Sciences (ICCP) of Cuba. She directs the Latin American Reference Center for Preschool Education (CELEP) and chairs the Cuban Committee of OMEP. She has been a UNESCO consultant for the Primeira Infância Melhor program in Brazil and a speaker at more than 60 international congresses. Her recent research addresses screen use in early childhood and the mediating role of adults.
